Rainforest Magic Overview

Rainforest Magic is new slots from the developers and well known company Play ‘n’ Go that is due to release 10th November. The first thing that I have to say is this slot is a breath of fresh air as it has nothing similar to any other slots which is a welcome change, and it is true to say that the gaming team have certainly been thinking outside of the box when they created this one.

Theme

This slot has the most amazing artwork and is unsurprisingly set within a rainforest and all the fabulous animals that inhabit it. Whilst it is nothing new to have this theme and use animals in this way however, Play ‘n’ Go have done themselves proud with this slot. The background is an intricate and really well created rainforest with butterfly’s fluttering around and an abundance of flowers. The artwork is detailed as are the game symbols which we will look at later in this slot.

Gameplay

Rainforest Magic is played over 5-reels, 3-rows and 25 pay lines and in my opinion a medium variance as the maximum win available is 5,000 times the players stake and a return to player that is set at 96.54%. Betting starts from as little as £0.25 per spin up to a maximum of £100.00 per spin making this slot appealing to beginners as well as high rollers.

Symbols and Pay table

There are 11 symbols in play in Rainforest Magic, four low paying symbols that are represented by the usual common card suits, clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades as well as an additional five high end symbols which are made up of an eclectic mix which include snakes, toucans, parrots, monkeys and frogs. The wild in this slot is represented by the jaguar and this big cat also acts as the mystery symbol. The highest paying symbol in the slot is the monkey who rewards players with x20 of their stake if they are lucky enough to land five across a single pay line.

Features

The free spin feature is pivotal and central to Rainforest Magic and the player can activate the free spins by landing three or more wilds. Usually you would expect the free spins feature to be activated by the scatter symbol however as there is not one in this slot the designers have chosen to give the wild symbol this honour. The wild can land on any of the reels and landing three on the reels initially and the player is rewarded with six free spins and then an additional two spins for every extra wild activated whilst playing in the feature.

Once the free spins are activated the player then gets to choose between four flowers and the choice then determines the number of mystery reels that will be triggered in the spins. When the mystery reels come into play, they reveal the same pay symbol and the more of these symbols on show the better chance the player has of winning big.

Final thoughts

Although Rainforest Magic is not packed with features and does not provide any new mechanics or game play it is incredibly well put together and all of the elements come together to provide a top class slot. The maximum win stands at 5,000 times which is a really good amount to win but it would have been nice to have some sort of incentive in the base game, but this is just my opinion. I would suggest you give it a spin and who knows you could get really lucky.
