Design & Theme

We cannot review Really Wild without taking a look at the art form that has inspired it. It may come as a shock but graffiti dates back to as far as the ancient times in Greece, Egypt and Rome. However, it really took off on the New York subway in the 1970s. You will delight at how detailed this slot is as Novomatic have really pushed the boat out on the game theme and the graffiti theme also comes across as a gritty, determined urban style. The reels in Really Wild are set amidst a graphic novel style landscape, where there are shadowy tower blocks which stand in front of a red sky which is complete with the police helicopters flying around. The surrounds of the reels are dark and sombre however these are brightened up with the vibrant fruit symbols. Personally, I think it would have been more in keeping if these fruit symbols were depicted in the graffiti style too. However, all is not lost as when the fruits land in a winning format the symbols are then highlighted with spray paint to create some excellent animation. The slot is fully mobile so there is no need to worry about having a desktop computer to enjoy the action.

Bet Structure & Symbols

Really Wild sports an unusual 4-reel format, as nowadays the vast majority of slots boasting 3 or 5 reels. Players win by landing three or four of the same symbol across a pay line running from either the left or right-side reels. When I was researching the slot, I found that it offers a medium-volatility game, but it is easy to land wins, so you shouldn’t be spinning the reels for too long without a win.

Landing lemons and cherries pay one time the total stake for landing three on the reels and pay twice the stake for landing eight across a pay line. There are other classic symbols such as oranges, plums, watermelons, red 7’s, and a star. The star is the most valuable, three or four stars across a pay line pay out prizes of 200x or 1,000x the stake respectively. It depends on your stake how much you could win, and all pay lines in the game are active, with the basic bet being 300 coins but this can be raised to a massive total of 4,000 coins.  

Special Features

The special bonus symbols include a graffiti artist and the word ‘WILD’ will also be offered. My Conclusion

Personally, I really enjoyed Really Wild, however I can see that players will either love it or hate it. This is not a slot that will cheer you up or make you not going to due to the gritty graphic nature, but I think it is worth you giving it a spin simply to spin the free spins.
