The symbols for Arcane Elements keeps well in theme and are beautifully designed, triggering a plethora of rewards when matched on the reels. These matches must contain 3, 4 or 5 identical symbols for a win to be paid. The lower paying symbols include the Ace, King, Queen and Jack which are the most common to see on the reels, as they are in most slots. The classic card symbols offer a piece of continuity for the player, so they still have a sense of knowing in this magic-filled slot.

The higher paying symbols are the revered elementals: Air, Earth, Fire and Water. Your rewards could climb extremely high as you land them on the reels. The elemental beings are the most valuable for any player as these offer the best wins. These come in the form of the golem (earth), the fish (water) and the blue praying mantis (air) and fire dragon (fire). Each of these elemental beings can turn into wilds on any given spin, with one selected each time. They will then substitute for all symbols in the slot except for the Scatter symbol. Features

The free spins feature, as mentioned above, can be triggered when matching three or more scatters on the central three reels. Once triggered, the player will be given the opportunity to select two of the elementals to become wilds for the entirety of the round. Unfortunately, this feature is unable to be retriggered. There is also the Gamble feature which can be activated by the player after every spin. During this feature you have the opportunities to double your winnings.

The dealer will show a card and all you need to do is select one, from a row of cards faced down, that is higher than that. If you manage to choose a card that is higher, you will win. This will then ask if you want to double your money again, or whether you want to bank your winnings. However, if you lose, and select a card that is lower than the dealer’s, you will be taken back into the base level game. The final feature is the progressive jackpot, which can be won at the end of any spin and is completely random. It will continue to slowly increase. The sum of the jackpot is set above the reels as a constant reminder to the player!

Conclusion

Summing up Arcane Elements is tricky. On the one hand, the deign and theme of the slot is impeccably executed with a stunning eye for detail and some of the best graphics we have seen in a while. On the other hand, we were a little disappointed at the features, or lack of, that this slot has. Yes, we all love a good free spin and the progressive jackpot is nice, but we were expecting drama and flair, with a feature for each element!

However, with all that being said, it is a lovely slot. The gameplay is good and enjoyable with plenty to keep the player occupied as they spin the reels and wait for the wins to roll in. If you are up for a bit of fun with a sprinkling of magic thrown in, then this is the slot for you!
