The background for this game is the overgrown lair of Medusa, described in most texts as a foul and dilapidated place in a deep cavern. However, this game seems to have represented the location a little lighter, making things a little more pleasant to look at. However, the designers kept the various men turned to stone by her gaze scattered around the environment. It was said in the original text that there were hundreds of these in her lair as many a man had tried to slay her before.
The playing board for this game is a set of stone blocks arranged in a regular fashion.

The symbols for this game are split into low-value, high-value and special symbols. The low-value symbols are the J, Q, K, and A in playing card royals. The A is the most valuable of these is the A, worth 1.6x the stake for the top combination.
