Theme & Symbols

The slot plays out in a badly lit office which is reminiscent of the Special Agent Mulder’s office from the hugely successful X-files. When it comes to the graphics these are designed around a cartoon styled format and although this is not a style all players are keen on it works particularly well in Agent 51.

The visuals and graphics are superb and made even better because the software team have chosen to go against the usually playing card values 10 through to Ace for the low value symbols, they have chosen to use something a little different.

Agent 51 the slot is loosely based around the whole Book of mechanic. The return to player is fixed at 96.17% and the bet range starts from just 0.5 to 50 credits per spin and with this range the slot is bound to appeal to a good variety of players. There are a host of excellent features and bonuses that include free spins, expanding symbols, multipliers and a base game feature which is activates every ten spins.

The slot is built with 5-reels, 3-rows and 20 fixed pay lines which means that you are unable to adjust the number of pay lines and they are all in play all the time. When it comes to the math model the developers have rated this as a medium to high variance and the top prize is worth 5,593x your stake.

Features

There is plenty happening in Agent 51 and the game developers have managed to add a great little base game feature that they refer to as K-Loops and this operates alongside a free spin’s bonus, both of which we will look at more in depth below. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the most creative and unique feature that you will find in this game and for this to take in the base game and across all the spins is a real bonus. On top of your reels, you will see that there are some highlighted symbols, and it is these symbols that will expand on every 10th spin.

If you land the Polaroid accumulation symbol on a highlighted symbol you will see that there is an increasing multiplier that comes into play and then increases the multiplier by x1 which will then be applied to all the wins that you make. Surprisingly, the expanding symbols does not have to land next to each other on your 10th spin. Although to trigger the expanding symbol you must land at least two premium symbols anywhere in view. You could even find seven symbols changing to expanding symbols in just one spin.

If you land three, four or five scatter symbols anywhere in view then the main free spins bonus becomes active. The scatter is represented by the wild in this case the Special Agent Wild and as in all “book of” slots before the feature a symbol is chosen at random and expands and this symbol will then expand every time it appears in the whole bonus game. You can also land a UFO symbol during the bonus round and when you do it will reward you with two free spins and there is no amount on the number of spins you can win.

Conclusion

Overall, this is an attractive and extremely well-made game that I enjoyed testing immensely. The developers that have constructed this slot have done a fantastic job making the game and I felt that this was a totally unique way of adding creativity into a generic math model. It would be fair though to say that most “Book of” games tend to feature the same mechanic with a lack in the creativity stakes.

The K-Loop feature is great as it brings life into the base game and not only offers something totally different, but it also provides players with no worries about whether the main free spins bonus round will be available for them to land the big worthwhile wins as this goes without saying.

When I tested this game my first opinion was that it is an excellent slot and I do expect that it will attract a good following from a wide audience of players.
