Is it a game meant to send you into the future? If that future looks like the one prophesied in the 80s, then sure. Is it meant to be an 80’s video game? Well, there are definite elements of that. Or is it inspired by the 80’s TV show character or character played by Denzel Washington in more recent movie version? Theme

The game is called the Equalizer, but the animation speaks more to Miami Vice than it does to either version of the Equalizer over the last 40 years. Buildings and the sunset make it as if you’re driving on South Beach. The bright colors recall Crockett and Tubbs. The music brings inspiration from the 80s, particularly an old school 80’s arcade game. Players start the game with 1000 credits. They can bid 0.20 to 20 per spin. One cool part about the Equalizer is the Expanding Slot feature. The game board expands, offering players the chance to play on as many as 6 or 7 reels, giving players the chance to earn big winnings. While the game has 60 paylines, 30 of those paylines are only available with the Expanding Slots.

Symbols

The Equalizer features 11 symbols. The playing card symbols (diamond, hart, spade, clover) all come with the same payouts on all lines. Listed from smallest to largest payouts, the next symbols are star, bar (you know old school slot that just says BAR), dice, a diamond, and a yellow sports car. The wild symbol only pays out from matches of 5x to 7x. But the wilds can expand horizontally as high as six reels. Players can also earn free spins in the game by landing three free spin symbols on the same spin. Players receive an initial ten spins in the free spin round

Bonus

 Once a wild appears in the free spins round, it does not disappear the entire bonus round. If the wild expands, it will stay expanded the entire bonus round. Any expanding slot during the bonus round will stay on the board until the end of the free spin round. During the course of the free spins game, + spin symbols will pop up. Each + spin symbol that appears on the slot gives players an extra free spin. The appearance of these symbols can keep the Equalizer’s only bonus round going for a long time.
