Blueprint partners Reel Time Gaming have brought a new slot out into the world in the form of Pirates’ Frenzy, drawing inspiration from an old slot Fishin Frenzy. The team are back in this romanticised pirate slot, out on the ocean following on from their last adventure.

The graphics of this 5-reel, 3-row slot are the same as it’s prequel, which we have to admit looked dated even back then. While it might deter the newer players, used to more flash visuals, it stands as a fan-favourite. With graphics from the 1990s, the background is bright and friendly. Back with the reels, there is an optional 6th reel, which is explained more below.
Furthermore, the slot boasts 10 pay lines, clearly displayed on the sides of the reels, as they used to – a throwback to the retro way of slots. If a player can hold their nerve, this slot has a large pay off of up to £250,000, or 10,000 times the stake, whichever they reach first.

Swash-buckling symbols

The symbols for this slot can be split into two categories: lower and higher. However, they all reinforce the Pirates’ Frenzy old school visuals. The lower paying symbols include the card royals A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9.
These lower paying symbols are followed by a set of higher paying symbols: bags of coins, a bottle of hooch and some oranges, as well as anchor symbols and finally the parrot. The latter, the parrot, is the highest paying symbol of the slot, with a line of them forming a win of 200 times the stake! Three or more symbols create a winning combination, but for the parrot, only two are needed.

The Captain Sparrow lookalike acts as the wild in this slot, substituting for other pay symbols, while being worth a sizable amount himself. Five on a pay line will result in the player being awarded 500 times the stake.
The final symbol is the scatter, represented as a boat. This triggers the Free Spin Feature.

Frenzy features

The most obvious of the features is the addition of the 6th reel. It can be triggered anytime during the slot, with extra benefits! When active, the player can make 6 symbol combinations, which are worth double what 5 on a pay line is worth! The 6th reel activated gives more gold bag symbols and scatter to the player.
There is a cost for other game modifiers and in this case, it will double the bet. Those who are betting the maximum of £400 will be expected to shell out £800 for the modifiers, eye-watering to some.

The scatter activates the Free Spins Feature when 3, 4, 5 or 6 are landed. Awarded are 10, 15, 20 or 50 free spins respectively. Money bags will appear during the free spins valued at £20 to £500. These can be won by the player when scatters appear, and unfortunately, once the free spins run out, they cannot be retriggered.
