Introducing Book of Cleopatra Super Stake Edition slot
As one of the most influential civilizations Ancient Egypt still holds an honourable position within the gambling industry. Egypt has affected human life significantly and is the inspiration for books, movies and of course slot games. Almost every slot development team will have worked on at least one Egyptian themed slot and will have at least one Egyptian based slot in their portfolio. The first was the now legendary Book of Ra, and this slot has been the inspiration for numerous copies which includes the cult slot Book of the Dead which has even overtaken the success of the Novamatic slot that used to hold the top spot.
It appears that all the slot developers have had a go following in the footsteps of the successful Book titled slots above. StakeLogic has not been idle as they released their own Book of Cleopatra which was released in 2018 and despite it being successful the developers want to keep their slot in the public eye for as long as they possibly can, therefore they have reinvented Book of Cleopatra and given it a shake up by adding a Super Stake feature. Usually, this type of slot would not make the top grade and end up complimenting the “Book of” slots that are already at the top of the pile. However, with this slot Stake Logic have attracted a wide audience and with the additions this has a great chance to become a hit and stand shoulder to shoulder with the best. Keep reading to see if you think this slot standouts for the right reasons.
Design & Theme
As you would expect from any title with the name Cleopatra this slot has an Egyptian theme and the theme is strong right from the start. When you first load the game, you will be transported to the middle of a tomb where the walls display hieroglyphics and other paintings. Visually this slot is in a different league to the original with graphics and animations that have improved tenfold. If you are au fait with the original Book of Cleopatra you will see that the developers have not sat on their laurels, instead they have completely reinvented the whole look of the game with the theme being the only thing these two slots share.
This slot plays out over a 5x3 sized grid that provides 10 ways to play. The math model is highly volatile therefore you need to remember that you will not be bombarded with wins and bear in mind that you will not have the small wins on offer to keep you afloat and therefore you need patience and to bet in such a way to keep you going in the long run. The return to player is set at 96.7% which is average for slots today, but the slot is available with a range of return to player values therefore it is a good idea to check the game statistics before you begin to play.
When it comes to placing your bet, the wagers vary in terms with which place you decide to play. The default you can bet from as little as $0.1 up to a maximum of $100 per spin, there is certain jurisdictions that can be imposed which see the bet range lowered to $50 per spin but this does mean that the maximum pay-out will also be halved. The best you can hope to win is a massive 5,521x your stake which provides a colossal win $552,100 on just one spin when you play with the maximum bet available.
On your pay table there will be several symbols that you will be familiar as well as some new ones, there are nine regular symbols which are divided into high and low payers. The visuals of the symbols have completely changed for the better although the amount that can be won have stayed the same. The lower paying symbols consist of the usual playing card 10 through to Ace and cleverly these do stick with the theme closely as they have been restyled and have their own personality that comes through with the gold they are framed in that is encrusted with Egyptian ornaments. The higher paying symbols are even better and in descending order you will come across Cleopatra the star of the show, cats, snakes, and scarabs. When it comes to winning you need to land at least three of the lower paying symbols whilst you only need to land two of the same symbols when it comes to the higher symbols and five of Cleopatra will pay you 500x your bet, the cat pays 200x your bet, the scarab and snake pay 75x your bet, and the lower paying symbols pay 15x your bet for five King and Ace cards and 10x of the bet for the others.
The same mechanic is used in this slot as all of the “Book of” games and by that it is the book symbol which takes on the persona of both the wild and the scatter and it can substitute for any of the regular symbols to create winning combinations as well as activating the bonus spin feature.
If you manage to land three or more of the book symbols you will activate the bonus spins bonus and will reward you with a scatter prize which stands at 200x your bet for 5, 20x your bet for 4, and 1x your bet for 3. When you have activated the bonus, you are given 10 spins to get you started and a random symbol from your pay table will be chosen to be your expanding wild, and every time this symbol lands on your reels and a winning combination is made that expands to cover the entire reel.
There is the opportunity to get further bonus spins by using the gamble feature or landing three book symbols in your bonus game. Every time you activate the bonus you can gamble the current number of spins you have to give you a 50/50 chance of winning an additional five spins to a maximum of 25. But if you lose you will be rewarded with five spins and once this hits zero it is back to the base game. Landing three or more scatters when playing in the bonus spins round and you will be rewarded with 10 extra spins and a scatter prize, which unlike the Book of Dead you cannot land a new expanding symbol.
If you are keen to skip through the mundane part of the game play and et straight to the action you can buy into the bonus spins feature and you can immediately get to the bonus for 81x your bet.
Extra chances of landing the big wins are offered in the Super Stake feature and once enabled your wager is doubled to give you an additional chance of landing big wins and this also doubles your chance to activate the Super Stake bonus game which is actually a Hold and Win feature. In accordance with what the developer has divulged this appears on every 50th spin which means you will not have to wait for ever to activate the feature. This feature is also played on its own special set of reels where only symbols that have a cash prize on display can land. You will be awarded with 3 re-spins to get you underway and when you land a new symbol it will be frozen in the position and the re-spins resets back to three. This feature will continue until you have either run out of re-spins of your entire screen is filled with cash symbols and once ended the cash prizes are added together and awarded to you. The last feature is the gamble which comes into play every time you land a win and gives you the chance to gamble it to double or quadruple you wins by predicting either the colour or suit of the card.
