Introducing Beat the Beast: Cerberus Inferno slot
Thunderkick are pleased to announce the release of Beat the Beast: Cerberus Inferno which is the next in the series and centres around a fierce mythological creature. In this slot the beast is the hell-hound Cerberus. For those not au fait with the myth of Hades, the keeper of the netherworld, who had a three-headed dog that barked nonstop at those who dared leave. This slot follows the same track of previous releases.
Unsurprisingly, Beat the Beast: Cerberus Inferno provides the opportunity for players to win 6,666x their winning bet. This is made possible by the standard reel set made up of five reels, three rows, 9 pay lines and the chance to activate 243 ways to win.
This series of slots has been well received so let us take a look at how Cerberus Inferno does, as there is far more to this game then its face value.
Design & Theme
The five reel, three rows are offset in wrought steel frames surrounded by curved stairways which will take you over the bridge on an adventurer across the River of lava situated below. The glow of the fire reaches across the entire background in a stunning orange and purple colour combination to add depth and provide the slot with an ominous appearance.
When it comes to the symbols you can refer to the pay table and this will show you that there are the usual playing card symbols ranging from 10 to Ace and the higher valued symbols are represented by weapons, warrior helmets and some artefacts of the Cerberus including a medallion, a Golden statue and Cerberus the three headed beast id both the wild and the scatter.
There are a few visual effects that create the heavy metal look and feel of this slot, and the most fitting soundtrack to provide you with an even richer gaming experience.
How to Play
The developers at Thunderkick, have a memorable layout when it comes to their controls and settings. In the bottom right corner of the screen there are three buttons which are involved directly in the gameplay. You can choose your bets using the poker chip, there is a small circle which houses the play button and also the automatic play option whilst the biggest of the three buttons is the one you use to spin your reels.
Before you set your reels in motion, you will need to choose from the wide range of bets which started just 10p and up to a maximum of £100 and you can also make multiple bet amounts should you wish. When you have selected the bet that you are most comfortable with, you have the choice whether to press the spin button or opt for the auto play where you can sit back and watch the action on the reels unfold in front of you. The auto play function includes additional options such as letting you stop the game when you have won or lost a certain amount or alternatively when you have activated the bonus feature.
Your balance can be viewed in the bottom left hand corner of your screen with your active bet amount being shown to the right of the centre. The menu button is the one that contains 9 dots, and this will take you to the pay table, rules, and some other information about this slot.
How to Win
Beat the Beast: Cerberus Inferno slot can reward you with some decent pay outs. Even though the pay outs are delivered in a standard way, either on a pay line or on the 243 ways to win that are available during the free spins bonus, this game has no room for multipliers, cascading wins and so on but this is reflected in a very positive manner.
When it comes to the symbols the most value is the three headed dog Cerberus, and should you land 5 on the same pay line or adjacent reels you will be rewarded with the top prize of 150x your winning bet. There are two wild symbols which we will review below as they are also used in conjunction with some additional features.
When it comes to the features there is a standard wild which is represented by a lava infused rendition of the letter W, and this symbol can occur stacked across one or more of your reels and can substitute for any other symbol apart from the other wild which is also the game scatter. The wild/scatter is depicted by the gold medallion displaying Cerberus’s head, and this symbol can substitute for all other symbols as well as activate the free spins bonus. It can pay you some superb win amounts. If you are lucky and you land 3, 4 or 5 of this symbol you will be rewarded with 2x, 20x and 200x multiplied by your winning bet as well as activating 10 free spins.
As mentioned, your nine pay lines turn into 243 ways to win in the free spins round and this feature can be reactivated if you land another three or more scatter/wilds.
Beat the Beast: Cerberus Inferno is available in a free demo mode at certain casinos. I particularly like this function as it provides you with the chance to not only try the game for free but also to get a good idea of how the slot operates and decide whether you wish to go on and play for real money .
There is no doubt in my mind that Beat the Beast: Cerberus Inferno from Thunderkick is a welcome addition to this series of slots. With the maximum win potential of 6,666x what is there not to like? This in my opinion is a truly mighty slot and an excellent addition to the beat the beast series. When I tried the game, I am pleased to confirm that I landed several wins and I am more than happy to recommend this slot to all players looking for a mighty gaming experience.
