Blazing X Overview

Blazing X is the latest release from the game development team at Williams Interactive. You can expect to come across fire breathing dragons who will light the way for you.
The slot is set out over 5-reels, 5-rows and 40 pay lines. The game is vibrant, and no details have been overlooked. Whilst one of many slots to choose the popular Asian culture theme with symbols that include highly decorated backgrounds plus lucky coins and dragons.

Theme and Design

Blazing X would be at home in any traditional Chinese restaurant, as it has a rich red backdrop beautifully decorated with floral patterns which complement the gold roaring statues perfectly. The soundtrack is a blend of disco and traditional Asian music and brings the whole theme together nicely.

The reels are black which works well with the whole colour scheme, and the symbols really pop. The aesthetics are second to none and the slot is impressive regardless of the device you use to play on.
You will see that there are numbered columns on each side of your reels, the left column holds the win multipliers whilst the one on the right has the title “Chances Remaining” and this is the way you can free the multipliers to access the larger rewards.

Bets and Game Play

Whilst there are 40 pay lines, I did find that I could play with just 24 coins. You can play around with the bet amounts for example if you change your coin value from the 0.01 minimum to the maximum 7.50, the total you can bet varies from as little as 0.24 to 180.00.
Wins are created by landing three or more of the same symbols on one pay line. The smaller rewards come from the playing card symbols from Jack through to Ace. The vase and the paper fan both pay 12 coins and the butterfly is worth 24. The golden coin is the most valuable and will pay out 36 coins.
The low pay outs reflect this being a low volatility slot. You will be pleased to find that wins are frequent, but the downside is that you need the multipliers to activate the bigger wins.

Multipliers and Wilds

It won’t take you too long to realise that the expanding wild will land on your middle reel and if it completes a win the win is doubled. It is at this point that the columns on the sides of your reels come into play. On the right of the reels the columns have multipliers that range from x1 up to x25, whereas the left column contains the “Chances Remaining” with the numbers 1 – 3.
The 2x multiplier is lit and the three numbers on the right are also illuminated. There are two things that can happen when you spin your reels again you can either land another wild and the multiplier on the left of your reels goes up to 3x and the 3 number on the right is taken away.

Landing the stacked wild on your middle reel again before all the numbers on the right have disappeared the multiplier on the left keep increasing and if not the multiplier resets to 1x until you land a win again.
To win the maximum x25 you must land 5 sequences of wilds each within three spins of each other. Landing a win following the x25 win resets the multiplier to x3. This is an original and exciting feature although the furthest I managed was x5.
Landing three dragons will reward you with 10 free spins provided they land on your 2nd, 3rd and 4th reel at the same time. During the free spins all wins are paid out at the multiplier that was active when you activate the feature. The rising multipliers are active throughout, but the free spins cannot be retriggered.

Conclusion

Blazing X can be played for free, a feature I particularly like as you can get a feel for the game and work out how it works, however the low volatility and excellent features should persuade you to play for free. It isn’t easy to activate the maximum multiplier, but this doesn’t mean you won’t be able to do it. Just doubling or triple wins will seriously provide your bank balance with a good boost.
