Nolimit City’s newest arrival: Immortal Fruits slot

Developer Nolimit City has been on an incredible creative streak in recent times, with modern classics such as Deadwood and Punk Rocker being released into the gambling industry. This new slot, Immortal Fruits, takes us back in time to the disco-diva, fruity-fun bonanza days, seeing the modern slot given a classic fruit twist. While there is definitely some generic features to Immortal Fruits, there is some impressive contemporary updates to the old style. Additional features such as stacked wilds, gambling options, a bonus buy function and the xWheel’s three jackpots, Nolimit City has pulled a high-powered slot out of the remanence of the old slot world.

‘Immortal’ imprinted in the title, we initially wondered if this could be a remake of the iconic Immortal Romance, introducing fruit to the game, but it turns up it is not. It is however, a familiar fruit slot, which somehow has shown us that there is still the ability to stand out from the crowd and be unique in this genre of slot. Playing across a total of 5 reels, the player is given 50 pay lines to win over and the presentation of the entire grid is a noteworthy one. The developers have gone for a low-grade retro look, where even the arm of the slot machine moves as you take the spin, giving a true depiction of the old classics you would find in pubs and such. The slot oozes disco vibes, but the soundtrack is a little lack lustre, with no major 70s feels. The beat is more dub, and while it is not what we expected, it helps to add a little funk to the slot.

Betting, volatility and RTP

The betting range for Immortal Fruits begins at 20p and increases up to a maximum of £100 per spin, which is a betting range we are familiar with seeing. It also means that the game caters to most player’s bet potential.
The math model may not appeal to all though, as the volatility has been maxed out with a rating of 10/10, which is not just high, it is extreme. Something we rarely see.

The RTP brings us back from the heart attack we had with the volatility, sitting at an average 96.06%. Since it is a fruit slot, we could have predicted that the hit frequency was low, sitting at around 10.95%. In reality, do not expect constant winnings while waiting for the bonus to appear, as this theoretically will happen every 205 spins.

Fruit and more across the reels

The pay table for this is quite the fruit bowl, with a plethora of different fruits available to the player. In descending order of value to the player we have the strawberries, watermelons, cherries, lemons, plums, oranges, and grapes. Landing five of any of these will award you between 1 and 5 times the stake bet. The only symbol of the ‘standard’ ones that does not fit the theme of fruit is the 7, but this does offer the player 10 times the stake for a full pay line. All of these symbols can come stacked and therefore an entire grid of one symbol is entirely possible.

The wild diamonds also appears stacked but only on the centre three reels – the second, third and fourth reels. They will not win on their own but can become stacked in order for substitutions for other pay symbols to create winning combinations.

xWheel: the features

For the best results of the slot, the Immortal Features work best alongside one another but due to regulated markets this may be impossible for some players. However, let’s get into them.
The Bonus symbol appears only on the first, third and fifth reel but will trigger the xWheel bonus when three appear on the reels. The xWheel has three levels which increase in rewards each times. There are 10 sections which contain multipliers, jackpots, and an arrow. Landing the arrow will see the player moving to the next level.
The wheel will continue to spin and collect multipliers until it lands on the same multiplier twice, or on a jackpot. The feature will then end. The jackpots for the xWheel bonus are 100x, 250x or 2,500x the bet for the first, second and third levels, respectively.
Immortal Fruits also comes equipped with a 50/50 gambling feature where the player can choose to gamble their winnings for a double or nothing chance, guessing the colour of a face-down card. The maximum wins you can expect from the Gamble feature is capped at 2,787 time the bet.

Depending on the size of the win that the player gets from the xWheel, there may be the possibility to gamble for another attempt at the wheel. There is obviously the chance of getting bigger and better wins, but there is also the chance you will walk away with nothing. Restricted by jurisdiction, but available to some, is the Nolimit Bonus, where players can pay 75 times their stake for three bonus symbols to fall onto the reels in the next spin.

Concluding Immortal Fruits

If you have never played on of Nolimit City’s slots before it would be easy to judge Immortal Fruits before giving it a shock. The retro look is obviously done on purpose to bring a reimagined look at it and while we know what Nolimit City is capable of, this is a well-executed slot.

From the garish winning pay lines to the fun way the lever moves with every spin you make, the whole slot gives us a trip down memory lane with helpings of nostalgia. Think of this as a classic slot, with a retro vibe and modern mechanics with the chance to win impressive sums as you spin the reels to win.
