 Minesweeper Online

Minesweeper is a single-player puzzle video game, with the objective being for players to clear the rectangular board that contains hidden bombs without setting any of them off. Players are given clues regarding the number of mines in each area. Originating from the 1960s, the game is available on many platforms and there are many variations on offer today.

The player begins with a grid of squares, and unbeknown to them some of the squares are complete with mines. Usually the grid size and number of mines are set by the player, by either entering the numbers or selected from a list of skill levels this is determined on the lay out of the game, and most minesweeper games are limited to 30x24 with a total of 667 mines.

The game begins when the player clicks on one of the square and if the player has chosen a square that contains a mine, they lose the game. If there is no mine, a digit is displayed in the square, and indicates how many of the adjacent squares contain mines, if there are none the square becomes blank, and the adjacent squares are revealed. This is the information that the player needs to use to their advantage to try and work out where the other mines are, and they can either safely reveal the square or mark the square that contains a mine.

Review of Minesweeper Game

Minesweeper is one of the simplest games and there is no doubt that it has been developed and taken inspiration from the computer classic game of the same name. If the players main goal is to maximize the money, they win to the total money they have bet. The maximum return is just under 98.50% for a 5x12 board if they were to stick once they have completed one successful pick.
