Overview of Temple Tumble Megaways slot
There is no need to feel bad if you are not au fait with Relax Gaming or you have not heard of them before. The reason is probably because they are best known in the slot game industry as the company behind the design of an open platform which is referred to as the Silver Bullet which is in use by some of the top software developers namely Quickspin, Push Gaming, Genesis and so on. Relax Gaming have only been releasing their own slot games recently and after a few uninspiring slots things have really picked up thanks to their newly acquired Megaways license which was debuted with the online slot Machina.
Design & Theme
Temple Tumble Megaways could easily have taken its inspiration from Push Gaming specifically Tiki Tumble that they launched and made a name for themselves in 2018. This slot from Relax Gaming shares the same Aztec theme and is complete with a tirade of entertainment that is all packaged with an excellent design. There are various modes when it comes to the free spin bonus where you can choose the volatility that you can choose to play with, and apart from that this is a simple and straightforward with just a few features.
This is the second Megaways title from Relax Gaming which can be played across all devices from your phone to your desktop computer. When it comes to placing your bet, the minimum is 0.20 per spin up to a maximum of 100 Euros per spin. The slot plays out over a 6x6 grid that provides a massive 46,656 ways in which you can win, and it uses the cascading mechanic which sees winning combinations destroyed and symbols from above dropping down into their places.
There is a mixture of stacked and single symbols in use and these disperse when you create winning combinations. This starts a chain reaction where new symbols fill in the blank positions on the reels and with any luck more wins are created. At this point you will also see stone blocks which are blocking, dead symbols, however, these can be destroyed when you land adjacent wins, as this provides space for new symbols and you can even gain access to the free spin bonus.
There is little chance of anybody questioning the skill of the game developers responsible for the visual aesthetics of the slot or the playability when spinning the reels as both are superbly executed and marry together perfectly. The jungle scenery that is featured in this slot is surrounded by stone statues and flames and on your reels you can expect to come across the Royal playing cards Jack, Queen, King and Ace which are the four lower paying symbols, these are followed by three mid-range symbols which are represented by gemstones and the Aztec face sculpture and dragon mask being the most valuable paying from 1x your stake for landing six of the same. The wild is represented by the adventurer and not only can it substitute for all your symbols to create winning combinations and it is only worth something on its own if it lands on your first reel.
When it comes to the features the first is the free spins which is activated when you destroy the stone blocks that are in view on your reels. To begin you are rewarded with 6 free spins and you are taken to an underground temple where you must choose between three different bonus modes. The first of these modes is the extra spins where you have stone blocks that contain extra spins and come with a medium level of volatility. Next is the Extra Spins and Multipliers where the special stone blocks contain either additional spins or added multipliers and comes with a high level of volatility and finally is the Multipliers where there are special blocks that contain additional multipliers but this mode comes with a very high level of multipliers.
This is what was referred to at the beginning of this review by players getting to choose to play the volatility that they wish to. Admittedly the safest option is to choose the medium volatility as it is the most likely of the three to result in a respectable win. Alternatively, if you choose the more volatile choices you have a great chance of landing either huge pay outs or nothing at all. However, it is worth keeping in mind that if the Aztec God is on your side this slot can provide you with wins of almost 8,000x your stake.
Temple Tumble Megaways is an excellent slot that offers top quality, crisp, sharp visuals, and imagery. Looking at the slot overall it may not be the most innovative slot however when compared to other Megaways slots it does bring something fresh to the game. There are several things that make this slot stand out and but the most obvious is the stone block feature and that you get the chance to choose the volatility that you want to play with in the bonus.
When it comes to the Jackpot 7,767x your stake is rather low for a Megaways slot, but it is far higher than the average that you can find in most casino games that are on the market currently. It may not be the best slot I have ever played but I had a lot of fun seeing the Megaways engine through other developers’ eyes as such. Regardless of this you may get a little frustrated as it can take time to land the features, but the bonus makes Temple Tumble the slot that you are going to want to try out and look closely at.
I personally think this is an excellent slot, I would rate it at a solid 9/10 and would not hesitate to recommend this game to any player old and new.
