It appears that the Tomb of Nefertiti was an actual place that was found in a chamber to the side on the Akhenaten complex when it was uncovered. Nefertiti was apparently the most beautiful Queen and woman in the whole of Egypt; however, it makes sense that people would say that after all she did have the power over whether they lived or died.

Classic Good Looks

The developers at No Limit City have captured the complete beauty of Nefertiti and transferred this into the slot. Strangely the slot takes place in an outdoor location as opposed to a tomb or a temple. The symbols include the usual lower paying playing cards from 9 through to Ace however they do have some nice Egyptian touches, the higher paying symbols include pots, scarabs, cats, Anubis and Horus.

When you land three matching symbols on a pay line you will be awarded with a prize, in the main game Horus is the highest payer and rewards 25x your bet if you land five.

Nefertiti Features

Although there is just one free spin round it is rather different to the norm, one you will see when you land a winning combination. After landing a win the symbols involved re-spin to make it possible to land more winning combinations and through all your re-spins the wild and bonus symbols remain sticky. There is a limited of two re-spins in the main fame and these come with x2 and x3 multipliers attached respectively.

Wild Raider is a random feature that can appear at any time during play and when it does your three middle reels are highlighted and there is a chance for up to 9 wilds to drop into place, there is also a random extra in the form of Nefertiti's Curse, and when this drops all of the symbols you have on the middle three reels will synchronise to show the same symbols although the bonus symbol will not be part of the combination. The Nefertiti can appear on any of your reels and if you land three you will activate 10 Raider Spins, whilst in this round your pay lines are doubled so you have 40 in play rather than 20, and the Wild Raider feature is present in every spin to give from 1 to 9 wilds every time. In this feature there is no limits and therefore the reels keep spinning until no more win’s land and there is no limit to how high the multipliers can go.

Final Thoughts

Although Tomb of Nefertiti does risk being compared to any of the other Egyptian slots on offer, the developers have managed to avoid this by ensuring there are some subtle extras to give the slot a fresh appeal. Whilst I wouldn’t say that Tomb of Nefertiti has made any real difference to the genre fans of the theme will certainly not be disappointed.

There are good pay outs on offer once you get the features working in harmony with each other with the chance to land 3,768x your bet, and whilst I landed a steady flow of wins I did find that they were on the low side and five of a kind did allude me! This slot will certainly appeal to many but those looking for an intense game should probably give this a miss.
