Wizards Want War - Ready the troops and prepare for war!
Developed by Habanero, Wizards Want War shows off an impressive fantasy-inspired storyline, which shows off the never-ending battle between good and evil. It’s a good story, with high quality graphics and plenty of features to keep the player occupied. Designed with a grid of 5 reels and 3 rows, there is a total of 25 active lines for the players to utilise in their quest of fighting between good and bad. While the pay outs do not seem to be the greatest, with a total of 400 times the stake awarded in the base game.
The betting for the slot ranges from 1 cent to $20, offering a relatively large variance for the player to use. The slot offers an RTP of 96.59% which is higher than the slots we’ve seen recently. With this betting range, the player has ample opportunity of winning reasonably well throughout the slot.
The design of this slot is focused on the story of good battling evil, with fantasy and magic embedded within the entire game. The two main symbols of the Good Mage and the Evil Mage. These are the highest paying symbols of the slot. Medium paying slots include symbols such as the skulls, the dragon, the dragon-adorned amulet, the bird-adorned amulet, books, as well as the logo that acts as Wild. The lower symbols include 10, J, Q, K and A. All of the slot’s symbols are of high quality design and there is no doubt with the exquisite graphics shown. Regardless, we’d like to see a little less brown interspersed within the design.
One of the main features of this slot is the wild symbol. As mentioned above, the wild is shown as the logo, with the word WILD imprinted on it. The symbol can land on the reels in a stacked formation, which gives the potential for the entire column to become covered. The Wilds can lead to the forming of new combinations, if they land in proper positions, so that they can help with the regular symbols. Getting five of these wilds on a single pay line will form a new combination, giving the player 16 times their stake.
The game’s top base game pay out is 400 times the slot, with all reels covered with the wilds. Duels are triggered if both the Good Mage and Evil Mage appear on the reels at the same time, one on the first reel, with one of the fifth reel. A Wheel will then appear in the centre with five different potential combinations for winning. One of the options is chosen by the Wheel. In the base game, the wizard that wins three times is crowned the winner, whereas in the free spins mode, you only need one hit from a wizard to be crowned champion! Once the duel concludes, the wild combo is placed upon the reels.
The Good Wizard boosts all the wins by 3x, while the Evil Wizard boost it by 2x. Within the game, there is also the chance of activating the free spins feature. Firstly, the player will be asked to select either the Good or Evil Wizard to represent them in the feature. During the free spins feature, the selected Wizard will attempt to duel and with one strike. There are 10 free spins for the player to win with, triggering from reels 2 and 4.
With a great RTP and reasonable rewards, Wizards Want War relies on its plethora of features for the player to enjoy the slot properly. Play to win with this interesting slot.
