Powerspin Online Slot Overview
I am not going to lie, when I first saw Powerspin it made little to no impact as it is very similar to layouts used by other developers and after I had a couple of spins my initial thoughts were right. I don’t want to spoil the entire game but hand on heart you will come across nearly all of the classic elements you can think of and not that I want to speak badly of Relax Gaming but it does appear that their visuals have possibly been copied from the visual designers at Red Tiger's.
Powerspin from Relax Gaming plays out over a 3x3 grid with 5 pay lines and it is a fruit based slot that has a futuristic feel which is made even more prominent with the artwork and electronic soundtrack. The slot can be played on all devices giving the player the freedom to play as and when they wish. When it comes to placing your bets you can bet from as little as 10 cents right up to 500€ per spin so a bet range for beginners right through to high rollers.
The game is complete with a re-spin feature and whilst this is not something to get too excited by it can lead to the Bonus Wheel being activated where there is a variety of additional modifiers awaiting you. In terms of volatility it is hard to say for definite where this slot would fit personally I would put it in the range of upper middle to high as from my experience the slot can provide what seems like endless dead streaks and spins but it does then pay back more through the features. Either way the slot does have an excellent RTP that stands at almost 97% which is one of the highest rating you will see, and it is this that makes up for the lack of personality you will come across during the slot.
When it comes to the symbols Powerspin has a total of seven and there are no special symbols or wilds to benefit for which was a huge surprise. The symbols from highest to lowest are as follows: thunderbolts, batteries, diamond, lucky 7s, bells, lemons and cherries. The thunderbolt is the one that will reward the most in terms of x6 of your stake for landing just three of a kind, and all of the symbols can also appear stacked at any point. Features When it comes to the features, there is the re-spin feature when you land two whole reels of matching symbols. All of the matching symbols stay in place whilst the rest of the symbols spin again.
I found the pay outs here a little disappointing, mediocre at best with the maximum on offer being x30 of the stake in play for landing an entire screen of the battery symbols as the highest paying symbol the thunderbolt not appearing at all in the main game. If you are lucky and land a complete screen of any of the same symbols will trigger the Bonus Wheel.
On the wheel there are five segments that house various rewards which are in the form of additional multipliers or symbol upgrades. If the red pointer on the wheel stops on a number this is then added to the total multiplier up to a total of ten. But if the red pointer lands on a red segment the symbol is upgraded. When the pointer stops on a grey area or if you land the maximum prize of x300 your stake the feature comes to an end.
When I put the slot through its paces in the demo play I almost landed the maximum pay out but I was also playing with the maximum stake of 500€, and although this meant I won 120,000.00 EUR it did little to change my thoughts on the slot. To me the presentation was thrown together and the overall game was lacking and made even worse by the incredibly low pay outs. It is not all bad though as the RTP is very positive and the Bonus Wheel makes many appearances, but this is not a lot and won’t have me rushing back to play again.
