Victoria Wild Slot Overview

Although there is plenty of references to the ‘desert’ there is no clue to exactly where in the world the slot is based. You will see to the right side of your screen a vulture bobbing up and down, whilst the game grid is surrounded by dying trees, old timber, and bricks. There could be a clue in the buildings in the background as they resemble the mud huts you would expect to find in Mali. However, I think you will have to make do with thinking of it as somewhere hot and dust ridden, and where it is does not really make any difference.

One of the real highlights of this slot is the soundtrack, which is an orchestral piece that made me think if the film Stargate which coincidentally was also ser on a desert. The music adds to the drama and is the perfect way to complete the feel of this action-adventure.

Victoria Wild can be played on all devices which means that you can play it wherever and whenever it takes your fancy. The game plays out over 5-reels, 3-rows and 15 fixed pay lines. When it comes to placing your bet you can choose to play from 0.01 up to a maximum of 12 coins and this provides a total stake of 15p per spin and £180 per spin, and with this great range the game is bound to appeal to a multitude of players. The slot is given a math model by the developers which gives a medium volatility, but it does offer a reasonable return to player that stands at a solid 96.55% and sits just above the average with competitor slots.

Victoria Wild Symbols

The nine regular symbols have been split into 4 low payers, 4 medium payers and 1 high payer. All the symbols are based upon explorations with the four lowest paying symbols represented by the four points on a compass and they all share the same value which is 3x your total bet when you land five of the same, and this rises to 15x when you land six of the same. The medium symbols are made up of boots, a handgun, canteen, and a motorbike. These symbols will pay up to 9x your bet for five up to a maximum of 45x if you get lucky and land six of a kind.

Unsurprisingly, Victoria is the symbol worth the most and you will be rewarded with 24x your bet if you land five and an immense 120x for landing six. These values are important as for most of the time you will only have five reels in play but there is an additional line added during the Oasis Free spins feature. Finally, there is the standard wild which is represented by the tornado and this symbol has the same value as Victoria however it can also substitute for any of the regular symbols to create winning combinations.

Features

This slot has been crafted around a collection space which builds up to the Oasis Free spins and as well as this you can expect to benefit from the tornado re-spins, lost temple free spins and the sandstorm feature. When you land two or more wilds on your reels in the base game the sandstorm feature is activated. If you have 2, 3, 4 or 5 wilds in view on your screen you will be rewarded with 5-8, 9-12, 13-15, or 15 Sandstorm spins, respectively. On every spin there is a jumping wild tornado that will leap from position to position, just remember that these are not free spins. If you land a jumping tornado wild on a regular tornado wild you will activate the Sticky Wild Re-spin feature. Whilst playing the re-spin, all wilds stick in their places and this includes the jumping wild. If a new wild makes an appearance it will also stay in its place. The sticky wild re-spin feature comes to and end when no more new wilds show up.

The next feature is the Temple Free Spins, and you can activate these when you land three or more of the temple scatters on your reels. The more you land the better the rewards could be. Land 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatters and you will be rewarded with 8, 10, 12 or 15 Temple Spins, respectively. Keep your eyes peeled for the wild lamp symbol, if you collect 7 or more the Secret Treasury feature becomes active when the free spins come to an end. In the Secret Treasury feature you will see a wheel that spins and then you are awarded with one prize, which could range from 250 – 2,500 coin win, or have a multiplier of 2x up to 25x applied to your total win in the temple free spins. The final feature comes in the guise of the Oasis Free Spins feature, and in this feature the map that sits to the side of your reels will show how Victoria is progressing on her journey. Every Oasis symbol which lands will move her one step nearer to her goal. Once you have collected 25 symbols you are rewarded with 10 Oasis free spins. There is a sixth reel added for the Oasis Free Spins which then gives you an expanding grid of 6x3, but the number of pay lines stay the same. Whilst playing this feature you will come across the waterfall wilds on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th reels and when they do land, they cover the entire reel.

Conclusion

This is a likeable slot, that has a lot going on from low level wins to mid-range modifiers to some large bonus games. All of this does mean that you are not going to be obsessing on the map as you trundle onwards toward the mythical Oasis Free Spins. I enjoyed playing this slot, and I had my best luck whilst playing the Temple Free Spins and this was thanks to the good multiplier, that I picked up courtesy of the Secret Treasury bonus wheel.
