Quite a loaded question there! Put in a few words, We strive to be different and stand out – and provide something unique to the player.
We indulge in and entertain such a wide variety of ideas and concepts. This can be seen throughout our portfolio of games. It’s super rare for two to be similar, let alone be the same. Even when games are thematically similar, we’re sure to flip the mechanics upside-down and create a whole different experience for the player.
Another element that has propelled our success is the massive potential of most of our most popular games. We’ve carved out our own niche in the industry – thus becoming well known for our games to have huge potentials, which are actually achievable despite extreme volatility.

In 2022, Nolimit joined Evolution Gaming’s big family. How will this new acquisition influence your production?

First things first, we plan to increase production – which might allow us to be more experimental and release a wider variety of games – for both when it comes to mathematical models and even themes! But really it’s in our hands, the image that players think of when they hear Nolimit City. We don’t plan on changing that!

How would you describe your creative process? Where do you get the ideas for brand-new slot machines?

We try to push ourselves and remind each other that we want to do something new and unique for our games. Not all games turn upside down in the slots industry, but they stick out somehow. We simply don’t operate like most other game studios! Ideas can pop up at any moment – in a grocery store, watching a movie or TV series, or from that strange dude at the airport who makes your mind stray way beyond what is sane. Most games – theme or mechanics – are just a seed in the beginning, and then the team helps form it to its finished product.

What has been your most popular release so far, and why?

We’ve got two that stand out for different reasons. First off: Mental. It’s just mental, isn’t it? Math, theme, sounds, big wins – you name it. That’s why it sticks out. The craziness invites players to try it out further, even though you don’t fully understand it all – especially when it fires on all cylinders in the bonus modes. When you add in a superb game name with a very nice execution, if I may say so myself, both from a graphics point of view, but also with its complex math – then you get a fantastic game that really sets itself apart from the crowd. The completely different vibe and colour scale go against every book’s rule about how to design a slot. There’s no humour whatsoever, just eerie and dark, which makes it fun. Super complex mechanics, which are on speed and super quick. Released in 2021 along with a bunch of other really fun and popular games, but it just stands out within this industry I guess. The second one is Fire in the Hole, which is much more vanilla in comparison. Super popular and real grinder-type of game, and it’s just entertainment value! The main game is so much fun, and even with this grumpy old dwarf, it still just entertains you every time you play it. There’s so much happening and it’s quick and fun to play it. Also, a game name that I just love.

Regarding the target market, which markets are the most crucial for you at the moment, and which player segment is receiving special attention?

We don’t work with specific markets and call any of them more crucial than any other. We do more niched games for a specific audience – not towards geographical markets. We do spend special attention with our games to the adrenaline junkie that is looking for volatile slots.
