The background for Lot Mystery Chests is one of the spooky yet beautiful tombs that our faintly Indiana Jones-looking explorer has found himself in. The floors and walls are full of scattered relics, beautiful golden treasures and jewels of various glinting colours. By the looks of the lamplight, the tomb is still underground somewhere, which adds to the intensity of the mystery and covert nature of the expedition. The lighting is quite unusual, too, with a green hue permeating much of the board.

The playing board has been designed to look like a tablet of hieroglyphics full of golden symbols up the wall.

The symbols for this game are split into low-paying, high-paying and special symbols. The low-paying symbols are the hieroglyphics of the bird, the scarab beetle and the eye of Horus. The eye of Horus is the most valuable of these, paying out at 0.5x the stake for the top combination. On the other hand, the higher value symbols in this game are the pyramid and the ankh.
