Swedish designer Yggdrasil is back with one of their zaniest slot games yet, this one based on the mystical world of gargoyles. Gargoyles as you may or may not know, are carved stone creatures found on the eves of tall buildings. They are usually formed to convey water away from a roofline but are more of a decorative architectural feature popular on many cathedrals and other stately buildings built during the gothic era. This game presents them in an animated and colourful way as opposed to how they usually appear (grey and inanimate).

Theme and Symbols

The theme for this game is the mysterious and dark world of gargoyles and the spectacularly scary castles they live in. These strange creatures are often grotesque and are designed to ward off evil spirits from whatever building they are installed upon. They make a great visual element for this game, especially since Yggdrasil has designed them in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours.

The background for Gargoyles Infinity Reels is a balcony out of which players can see the other steeples of the large castle or cathedral that the game is taking place in. To the right and left of the reels are candelabras chock full of waxy candles burning down to the wick. The rest of the view consists of chains, a gloomy sky and other features that make up a chillingly spooky environment, into which the gargoyles fit perfectly.

The board has been constructed to look like an old stone wall, as you might find the cathedral to be made from. Its perimeters are adorned with terrifying spikes and their own stone gargoyles that look quite intimidating. The board obviously expands with the infinity reels dynamic which increases the size of the wall making the whole construct seem more imposing.

On the reels you will find low-paying symbols in the form of card suits with gems embedded within them. The high-paying symbols on the other hand are made up of the four different coloured gargoyles.
